About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining regular communication to understand project goals, address concerns, and provide updates on project progress.
Team Leadership: Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams, including designers, architects, contractors, and vendors, to ensure alignment on project objectives and responsibilities.
Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses, monitoring costs, and identifying opportunities to optimize spending without compromising quality.
Schedule Management: Create and maintain project schedules, identifying critical path activities, milestones, and dependencies to ensure timely project completion.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project success, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively address challenges to keep the project on track.
Quality Assurance: Ensure design deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations by conducting regular reviews, inspections, and quality checks throughout the project lifecycle.
Procurement and Contract Management: Oversee the procurement of materials, furniture, fixtures, and equipment, negotiating contracts, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards throughout the design and construction process.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including meeting minutes, correspondence, change orders, and project reports, to track progress and facilitate decision-making.
Stakeholder Management: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, project team members, and senior management, to foster positive relationships and ensure alignment on project goals and priorities.
Post-Project Evaluation: Conduct post-project reviews to assess project performance, capture lessons learned, and identify opportunities for process improvement and best practices implementation.

Responsibilities 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in project management, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing interior design projects of varying scope and complexity.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, Asana, or Trello, for planning, scheduling, and tracking project progress.

  • Knowledge of interior design principles, materials, construction techniques, and industry best practices.

  • Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and standards applicable to interior design and construction projects.

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to resolving issues.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is preferred but not required.

  • Flexibility to travel to project sites and attend client meetings as needed.
