About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining regular communication to understand project goals, address concerns, and provide updates on project progress.
Team Leadership: Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams, including designers, architects, contractors, and vendors, to ensure alignment on project objectives and responsibilities.
Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses, monitoring costs, and identifying opportunities to optimize spending without compromising quality.
Schedule Management: Create and maintain project schedules, identifying critical path activities, milestones, and dependencies to ensure timely project completion.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project success, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively address challenges to keep the project on track.
Quality Assurance: Ensure design deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations by conducting regular reviews, inspections, and quality checks throughout the project lifecycle.
Procurement and Contract Management: Oversee the procurement of materials, furniture, fixtures, and equipment, negotiating contracts, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards throughout the design and construction process.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including meeting minutes, correspondence, change orders, and project reports, to track progress and facilitate decision-making.
Stakeholder Management: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, project team members, and senior management, to foster positive relationships and ensure alignment on project goals and priorities.
Post-Project Evaluation: Conduct post-project reviews to assess project performance, capture lessons learned, and identify opportunities for process improvement and best practices implementation.
Responsibilities
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in project management, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing interior design projects of varying scope and complexity.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, Asana, or Trello, for planning, scheduling, and tracking project progress.
Knowledge of interior design principles, materials, construction techniques, and industry best practices.
Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and standards applicable to interior design and construction projects.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Project management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is preferred but not required.
Flexibility to travel to project sites and attend client meetings as needed.
